Adventurers can experience diversity in environment, culture, and civilization during the expedition. The walk winds past terraces, verdant farmland, and mediaeval communities. The Trishuli River is formed by the Bhotekoshi and Budhi Gandaki river valleys, which are separated by the mountain range.

There are 526 plant species in the area, including rhododendron and orchids. There are 300 different kinds of birds and animals, including musk deer, gaurs, Himalayan tahr, and monkeys. The scenery and breathtaking vistas of the mountains combine to give the walk a sense of naturalness.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from the international airport and driven to your hotel by a representative of our organisation. Once you're in your room, unwind for a while. Dinner will be served to you in the evening, featuring traditional Nepalese food.

Following the guided tour, there will be a briefing about the Ganesh Himal trekking. We will also make necessary preparation for your trek today. Afterwards, we will be doing a half day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. This will include Kathmandu Durbar Square which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterwards we will visit the significant Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath Stupa.

We travel to Trishuli early in the morning and have lunch close to the Trishuli Dam. We then walk for almost three hours to get to Salangkhu Khola. We make camp and remain there.

This day, we go for a leisurely stroll followed by a quick ascent to get in Kalawale village in time for lunch. It takes several hours to get to Balche, a Tamang village, from there. Here, we stay the night.

We go through a forest and a few tiny streams after leaving Balche. A sizable area with a few communities and their livestock is located in the centre of the forest. We can watch the folks weaving bamboo baskets and the cattle graze. After lunch here, we go on. To get to Gonga, we travel through dense forests of pine and rhododendron, as well as springs. The Himalayan monkeys that inhabit this area may also be visible to us if we are fortunate. From here, we also catch our first look at Langtang Mountain. Our overnight stay is in Gonga.

It will take a day for us to acclimatise in order to prevent altitude sickness. We can either take a quick walk up to Rupchet or stay here and recover. The walk goes through forests of pine and rhododendron. Perhaps we can get a glimpse of the monkeys who live in this area. From here, you can also admire the Gosaikunda range and the Himalayan Chamre of the Tibetan range. The base camp for Shing-la Pass is called Rupchet.

We have to set off early from Rupchet on our walk in order to witness the breathtaking dawn from the summit of Shing-la. The ascent takes almost two hours to complete. The mesmerising views of Ganesh, Langtang, Manaslu, and the Tibetan range greet us there. Given that the pass is the highest point on the journey, the altitude may make today challenging.

We descend to the Sertung valley, passing through woods of rhododendron and pine trees. After a short while in the forest, we arrive at fields where the nearby peasants are growing corn, wheat, barley and other crops. After arriving at a Tamang village and taking a little break, we tour the schools and other locations. Here, we stay the night.

We start out on a short, level track and then progressively make our way down via Barang Village. Moving further, we pass Ankhu Khola and arrive at Labha, the Tamang settlement. Here in this camp, we spend the night.

Today we make our slow way up a hill and then down through a forest to Mongeythanti. It requires five to six hours. Here, we spend the night.

We gradually descend through woodlands from Mongeythanti and pause for lunch at a brook. After there, we continue on to our campsite, which is close to Dumchet village.

We hike slowly from Dumchet to the Budhi-Gandaki River, where we camp.

We're going to take it easy today and follow the Budhi-Gandaki River track. We make a stop at Arughat Bazaar and stay the night.

We camp for the night after crossing the Mukti River and ascending Khanchowk Dada (hill) from Arughat Bazaar.

After leaving Khanchowk, we travel over a ridge and ascend a hill to arrive in Gorkha. We find lodging close to the historic palace.

In the morning, we have a visit of the Gorkha palace. King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the conqueror who brought Nepal together in 1881 A.D., constructed it. After stopping by Gorkha Bazaar, we take a trip to Kathmandu.

Day 17 :
Leisure Day

On this day, we tour the various locations in the Kathmandu Valley. Durbar Square in Bhaktapur is well-known for its historic buildings, museums, and temples. Similar windows into the Rana and Malla eras are provided by Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Regarding their cultural and architectural significance, each of these monuments is noteworthy. It will be a leisurely day spent seeing the valley's well-known attractions.

This is the last day of your vacation. Here at Tribhuvan International Airport, we will say our goodbyes. We look forward to showing you more of Nepal's breathtaking treasures.
