Overview

Helambu Trek, one of our shortest trekking routes, provides a variety of mountain views from a relatively low altitude in a manageable amount of time. Though it’s not too far from Kathmandu, the Helambu region is still a relatively pristine trekking destination. Helambu trekking is a devotional journey that winds past villages home to Tamang and Sherpa people, a forest of blossoming rhododendron, and magnificent waterfalls. It’s the ideal place to experience an exquisite fusion of nature and culture.

The route to Helambu continues along the Shivapuri ridge, offering expansive vistas of the central Himalayas. The main hamlet in this region, TarkeGyang, is rich in customs and cultural traditions, which enhances the enjoyment of the trip. The residents of the Tamang and Sherpa communities are hospitable, kind, and kind. Tarkeghyang, which translates to “a Buddhist temple with 100 horses,” is yet another destination for Sherpa travellers. We think Helambu hiking is a good starting point for learning about the ethnic Sherpa people who have made their home in Nepal’s Himalayan region.

Itinerary

Greetings from Kathmandu. You will be met at the airport by our personnel. After that, we'll transport you to your different lodgings. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you like exploring Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today we will prepare for our trek. Firstly, we will be preparing for your trek and obtain permits required for forthcoming expedition. Afterwards, will then start our half day sightseeing tour of the lovely city of Kathmandu after a filling breakfast at your hotel. You will get access to a comfortable private vehicle and an experienced tour guide. We will be visiting Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square which reveals the rich mediaeval culture and art. We will start getting you ready for your excursion later this afternoon.

We'll drive to Sundarijal for an hour. Our journey starts beside a modest hydropower facility. Following that, the trail passes through the Tamang-populated village of Mulkharka and into Shivapuri National Park. To get to Chisapani, we'll stroll up the ridges via an oak and rhododendron woodland. We will spend the night in a guest house in Chisapani.

We shall set out early on this particular day to travel to Kutumsang. Along the hikes, we may enjoy breathtaking views of the Langtang Mountains. Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang are crossed, and then the trail climbs the hill to another pass. We'll stay the night in a Kutumsang guest home run by locals.

From Kutumsang, we will set out on our hike to Thadepati. The trails go through forests of fir and rhododendron, and they are primarily steep. This specific area is devoid of any long-term habitation. From Yurin Danda, where magnificent and breath-taking vistas of the Himalayas are seen, the trip continues. We're going to stay the night at a guest home in Thadepati.

We are going to go to Tarkeshyang today. We will follow the trail to Melamchi Khola, which will lead to a Sherpa hamlet. During our drive, we will have the chance to take in the sight of the Himalayan peaks sparkling in the sunlight. We will also be facing the largest and oldest monastery in the area. Due to the majority of its residents being members of the Helmu caste, the village is more commonly referred to as Helambu. We will spend the night in a guest house in Helambu.

Because we are at a much lower altitude on our trek, it is somewhat simpler.A significant portion of the path is lined with trees, streams, and waterfalls. The path circles the broad valley floor that separates Parachin from Gangyul, a Sherpa village. When we get to Sermathang, we'll find the settlement. We're going to a guest house in the area for the night.

We're going to walk to Melemchi Pul Bazar today. Melemchi Pul Bazar, home largely to Sherpas, is renowned for its friendliness. After that, we'll take a car back to Kathmandu and drop you off at your individual lodgings. The remainder of the day is yours to spend how you like exploring the city.

It's time for us to say goodbye to Nepal, that stunning nation. After picking you up from your individual hotels, we will take you to Tribhuwan International Airport so you may make your final flight home.
